Visiting Santa and Christmas activities

Catching up on my posts!
We pulled out the advent calendar on December 1. This is one of Camdyn's
favorite things to do each morning. She runs up to her box and begs to open
it. We read what special activity we are doing when we get home from school.
Love that it gives her something special to look forward to.

This was one of the beginning activities...decorate a Christmas treat.
So, we made a little Christmas tree!

Maddyn Chayse enjoyed a few chocolate chips from the sidelines!

Our pretty Christmas tree-minus the gifts

Camdyn's dance studio hosted a little "show-off" event. Love how
Maddy snuck into this picture. :)

Boy does she "show off!"

One weekend we headed to our favorite mall and did a little
Christmas shopping and dinner!

Another advent activity...decorate cookies :) Promise not all of them
have to do with food! ha!

We went to visit our favorite Santa this year. I knew Miss Maddyn
might not be too eager to see him as Cam was and I was right :(

However, he was quick to comfort her which made it even more precious!

This pictures makes me laugh! She thought Camdyn was
trying to take her chair so she threw her this look...she can hold her own
that's for sure!

Back to being sweet :)

G-dad spending time with the girls!

Camdyn has such a giving heart. She is always wanting to make
others presents, cards, pictures, etc. This particular day, I found
her cutting up some wrapping paper and tucking little treats in them
for her family. :)

North Pole Express trains!

We were super excited to visit the North Pole Express Train in Grapevine
this year and it did not disappoint! We have heard great things
about this little experience and we can't wait to add this
into our traditions before Christmas. The girls had so much fun
and it was such a sweet memory for our family AND they loved being
able to wear their matching pjs!

When we entered the tent there were a group of singers
who sang the traditional Christmas songs and the girls loved
watching this.
Did a few turns in between the shows :)
On our way to the train, they had a snow machine that blew out snow...
big hit for Camdyn!
All Aboard the Train!
Waiting for the train to take off
Sweetness held onto her tickets most of the ride.
The conductor came out and punched the girls tickets :)

Santa snuck up behind us and took a picture!

They sang carols on the train, saw Mrs. Clause and Santa, got a special
bell at the end of the ride and a free ticket for hot cocoa when they
were finished. What a fun little experience!

Thanksgiving and Ellie arrives!

Thankgiving! Great food and celebrating with the family
everything we are sooo thankful for---what a great holiday!
We spent the day at my parents house. Our little get-away.
I made my first chocolate meringue pie and it was beautiful!
I was very proud of my hard work. :)

At my parents house they have a few acres and a lot of it is covered with trees
and trails. It's so pretty. Behind their land, their new neighbors just built their
house and they have some sweet horses. The girls tried to feed them but they didn't seem
too interested in the 4 year olds holding 2 carrots while a little girl with a long
pony tail yelled "here horses, come here horses!":)

Love this picture!

Towards the end of the night, the girls roasted marshmallows
and we all ate some. Yum!

On our walk on the trail, Melissa took some engagement pictures
{As I call them} Here is the wild girl and her shy fiance :) :) Love that boy!

Ellie showed up the next morning! Boy did she have a treat for the
girls! Her special Ellie drink, snow covered donuts, Snow cotton candy
and a few little presents for them. She is so good to us!

Camdyn has already made it known that she is going to miss
having Ellie around.
Today is the start of our break! Wahoo! We are heading
out tomorrow to get on the North Pole Train Express and the girls
get to wear their pajamas! I will be taking lots of pictures of their
first experience.
 Up next---- Santa!
