Thanksgiving Break

Dustin and I have really enjoyed our week with Camdyn! It's not over yet but it is coming to an end and just 3 more weeks and we will all be together again for 2 weeks...yay for Christmas! I got many clips of Cam and pictures of her from this week. I am thankful for everything that God has given to us. As I have said before, my life could not be any better.

We spent a lot of time outside this week. Here is Camdyn in the front yard while her Grandad and Daddy were hanging Christmas lights and wreaths.

Here's our festive house! They did such a good job on it and it looks so pretty!

Dustin seriously wants to get one of those huge blow up decorations for outside for Camdyn. This is about as close as we are getting to a blow up decoration!

This is the day that Camdyn stayed in her jammies until the evenening...she highly enjoyed not having to get undressed!

We tried Gerber puffs the other day and it was pretty interesting. She wasn't sure about them because they kept getting stuck to her hands and face. This picture is definitely one of a kind.

We treated Camdyn on Wednesday to a little shopping. She loves to go to the mall in her stroller and stare at everyone. She always gets many reactions from others when we take her places! Here are some things that we heard about her... "Her cheeks are so rosy"(she looks like she has blush on all the time) "She needs to be in magazines" and our favorite one...."She looks just like a cabbage patch baby!"

Here is my little turkey! We celebrated Camdyn's first Thanksgiving. She had a feast of her own at home....we had greenbean caserole (green beans), carrots and sweet potatoe pie! (sweet potatoes).

Tonight we are putting all of the inside decorations up. I will get some pictures of Camdyn putting up her own Christmas tree!

7 Months

Camdyn Reece is 7 months old today! She just keeps getting bigger and bigger everyday. I see so much of myself in her especially when I look back at old baby pictures of me. That round face and big eyes is just what I looked like. As you have seen, she is doing great and growing into such a big girl. She is a joy to wake up to and go to bed with each night and she has brought so much joy to our lives. I never knew what I was missing until we had her.
I don't have tons of new updates to jot down since I just did it not that long ago. I'll try to think of a few...
*Our new favorite thing to eat is carrots, they are by far her favorite.
*When Camdyn pulls herself up she makes the sweetest sound when she gets to stand and pats with her hand.
*She is getting soooo tall! I seriously bought her 3, 18 month onesies today so that I could have a little growing room for me to button them underneath!
*I am obsessed with hats for her...loving the beanies :) She hasn't figured out how to take those off yet
*She loves to play with balls and paper.
*Can stand for a few seconds by herself
*My most favorite thing she is doing now is sitting on her legs...I got some pictures of it below. She will sit on her legs and then bend one of them forward to help herself stand beside things.
*I have figured out that Camdyn loves cold weather. When we have gone out in it, she will do a huge smile.
*I now am comfortable with her sitting in a high chair and the grocery cart, if I could ever remember to bring her grocery seat. (Note-Dustin will probably laugh when he reads this but everyone who knows me well, knows that I am a germ freak...yes, a complete germaphobic. I was like this before she was born and now it's 10 times worse. Let me give you a little idea of how bad I really am.Well we went to Target and I forgot her stroller and her carrier to put in the grocery seat. I decided to get her blanket and I draped it around the front so she couldn't touch the nasty bars and then she decided to turn around and grab the other nasty handles behind her. I then went over to the girls department and got a huge black trench coat and put it on the other side so her little hands would stay clean. By this time she decided to keep scooting it off so I went to the $ section and grabbed some infant gloves for her to wear. I'm sure when people walked passed us, they thought our basket and our daughter looked pretty interesting. Oh well, I'll do anything and everything to keep my baby healthy!
One of the cupcake beanies I got her!
Where's that bottom lip Camdyn??!

About to leave for church...

All you have to do is say something and she gets such a huge grin!

Here's her new move with the legs tucked underneath her.

Let the games begin!

As Camdyn has gotten older, she is starting to play "games" as we would like to call it! She has started crawling on the tile now (she was a little hesitant at first) and it is all over our house except for the bedrooms, so I guess she didn't have much of an option...we are buying her baby knee pads...yes, baby knee pads! Anyways, when Dustin says he is going to get her, she will start crawling really fast and laughs and tries to get away from him. I got it on video (some of it) and she does her cute little giggle while he is trying to get her. Poor Boz thinks that Dustin is trying to get him and he darts away to play!

Mrs. Sherry e-mailed me today to let me know that when she is putting Camdyn in her bed (she hasn't been taking naps too good because she just wants to stand in her bed instead of sleep) that she will stand up and Sherry will have to lay her down and tell her to go night night and when she keeps coming back in the room to lay her down, that Camdyn will just laugh at her every time! She is already starting to enjoy playing games with us!!!
I also got a few shots of sister crawling on the treadmill and also sitting on our workout ball. Tomorrow we begin our Thanksgiving break. We already have so many great things planned to do with our baby girl! I'm sure I'll have more to post soon~
Sorry you have to turn your head to the side :(

Kisses

So our Cam has started giving "kisses". She started this about a week ago and we had to get it on video. She had been doing this for a while when we finally decided to get in on tape so she is almost out of kisses and more interested in the person taping her! Awww, the things we do to get them to do things!

Being Thankful

Today was a great end to our week at church. I love everything about our church and it is a new experience each time you walk through those doors. Today Pastor Steve was talking about how we need to remember to keep Christ in Christmas so he wanted to get started early discussing it before the upcoming holiday season. Dustin and I have talked about this many times, how we want to give Camdyn everything that she could ever want but also teaching her how to be humble and always giving to others. It was great what we all got to experience as a family. The pastor encouraged everyone to get out of their seats( keep in mind thousands of people attend this church) and walk either up front for communion, to the sides of the church where you would write on a lit wall what you were thankful for, to the back of the church where many people were there for you to pray with, up front where there were at least a thousand candles (some waiting to be lit, some lit) for you to light for people who have not come to know Jesus and confession cards for you to confess and get rid of any sins that you have held onto. Well at that moment, we were in the hospitality center where we watch the pastor on screen so Camdyn can crawl around. We then decided to go inside as a family and sign the wall for what we are thankful for. Each wall was filled with so many different things that everyone was thankful for and it was such a special time for us to be able to give thanks to God for everything that he has given to us.
On another note...our baby girl has been doing some great and some scary things that I wanted to jot down so I wouldn't forget! I will start with the scary things...we sometimes have to put her in her swing when she fights going to sleep for her nap. We went in there the other day to check on her and she was in her swing (buckled around the waist) with her entire body slumped forward and her fingertips dragging the floor! No, she was not crying...I'm sure she thought she was on the ride of her life! Her most favorite thing now is not play with toys, it is to climb to anything remotely able to be pulled up on or stood on. Sometimes those things might include our armour, ottoman, walls, our legs, chairs, and even her diaper bag. The fearless thing she is doing now though is letting go! She tries to see how long she can stand by herself and then falls on her bottom and thinks that is funny. She is a little daredevil!! We have now tried carrots and she seemed to really enjoy them. She actually showed a little interest in them but she is still in love with her milk. Camdyn knows now what her "boboo" is (bottle) and will whimper when she sees and hears that word. Also, a new thing going on in Camdyn world, is when I lean to give her a kiss, she will go towards my nose and bite down on it and then look at me and smile....I love it! She has also learned how to turn off the light switches and she knows exactly what to do when she sees it! This has been apart of our nightly routine now for a while. We take a bath, get our jammies on, talk together on the bed, tell the lamps, fan, and the mirror with Camdyn in it goodnight and then the light switches come last. I love that little precious girl! Now that I have written a novel, I will leave you with a few pictures of our doll from this weekend.

Is this becoming my new hobby?!

So we or should I say, I have been really busy at nights lately! Camdyn is taking less naps during the day so she has been going to sleep early and I have had a few projects to work on! Dustin says that I go through these phases and I sure do. I call it my "granny" phase. I decided to make Camdyn a turkey shirt that I duplicated on a website. It turned out so cute and I was proud of myself that I even brought it to school to show my team. I then decided to throw in a tutu making night, bracelet making and outfit making! I made Melissa a bracelet too. I have been looking on-line and they are always too expensive so I just decided to make it. My last project (her outfit) involved the sewing machine. I was a little skeptical if I could pull it off, but I did! Just don't look inside of the pants though...they are not as pretty as I would hope they would have been! I'm leaving you with some pictures of Camdyn from Sunday. I think she looks so pretty in black. I also am giving you a peek into Camdyn's photo shoot. They turned out better than I could ever imagine. I will post more soon. She took such solemn and sweet pictures. She is our little baby doll!

Birthday party!

I want to first start off by saying how excited I am about today! We took our pictures for the holidays and mainly pictures of Camdyn and I cannot wait to get them in! The lady who took our pictures got so many great shots of Cam, that I know will turn out perfect. None of them were posed...thank goodness since it was horrible the last time we tried to get pictures taken! She just got on the ground and let Camdyn go and she was such a photogenic little thing. I will definitely post pictures whenever I get the c.d. from her.
Today we also had my niece's birthday. We went to eat at Posados (her favorite) and then we went back to Melissa's for a while. Leading up to that, I got a video clip of Camdyn showing everyone how she crawls and stands up on everything now! I love the way she is like me and is very careful at what she does. Mrs. Sherry always says that she checks to see if it's stable before pulling up on it....just like her mommy! We also saw today that she is starting to give Bozley some loven now. This morning she leaned over to "pet" him...it's actually with all fingers spread apart and many pats with the hand. She then threw her body on top of him and started patting him again! Needless to say, he was pretty freaked out by this. Thank goodness he is such a patient and calm little animal.
Also, a little update on the baby food...she has now tried bananas, prunes, applesauce and peas. She gags at the peas, shivers with the bananas and loves the green beans!! I'm not too sure what she thinks yet about the prunes. I like them because I think they are helping her go potty a little better :) Hope you all have a great week. Happy Birthday to the love of my life on Friday!!!
We are always there just in case!
Sorry it's dark again...thank goodness she has some knee highs on so you can see her a little better

Beautiful Birthday Girl!!!

Our 1st Halloween!

I have been getting a little behind on the blogging due to everything going on last week so now it's time to catch up! On Thursday, we had some of Camdyn's friends who live close by over for a little Halloween party! We had some more friends to invite but they live a little further so we are going to hope that Halloween is on a Friday next year so that they can make it! We all had a great time though. It was hilarious trying to take pictures of all of the babies together. It is so funny to see all of the differences and similarities between them. Hopefully this will be an annual thing and we can compare pictures each year of them!

My "spooooky" decorations!

Our perfect little strawberry!

This picture was taken right when her nanna and papa showed up!

and this one too!

Here is a group of all of the cute pictures we got of the babies. Aren't they all adorable?!!

On Halloween day, we went to the football game and we had a lot of fun as usual. Camdyn's Gran came with us and gave us some company. We had many people stop to say how cute of a pumpkin or ladybug that she was! Only about 2 people got it right that she was a strawberry! Hmm...never seen a lady bug with a stem or a red pumpkin either but hey, it works!

We got a great picture with all of my cheerleaders...Camdyn loves to watch them cheer

Now this picture was taken on Wednesday just to show you how "busy" this little girl is. Yes, that is my head that her legs are on. Dustin clips of her in action!

climbing up my leg...

Today we went to church and I got a few pictures of her and Daddy when we were about to leave. She is still sucking in that bottom lip!
