Our weekend and DIY!

Well my excitement for blogging from my phone has unfortunately dwindled :( ---more things I would rather do but I must keep up!
We have been playing and playing outside and yesterday cam played outside with her two friends that live on each side of us. I love how these 3 girls have grown up knowing each other as our houses were all built around the same time.

They played and played until dark last night while my little Maddyn took a 4 hour nap!

My lovely Maddyn is starting to show so much personality. I have been seeing a lot of frequent smiles...not so much in the car though :)----that girl is not a fan of her car seat just yet!

----------------------------------
Thanks to Pinterest, I have been wanting to bake all the time, craft and put new outfits together! Ha! Anyone else feel this way?? I did these next few crafts for our house and they turned out pretty cute. I needed a little "pinterest inspiration" to get me going!

Fall letters for the mantle

I bought some cork boards, stencils and scrapbook paper to make these. Cute but hard to stand up like I wanted them to.

This is my favorite for the kitchen. I've been wanting a chalkboard to put quotes on for us to reflect on and I decided to do it on a tray. Love it!
Next up is a pillowcase for Camdyn's room that has a pocket to tuck notes for her inside! I'll post it when I'm finished.
It's super cold today and with that brings some crock pot tortilla soup that I must make! Yep, you guessed it...from the big P! :) :)

Maddy's favorite place

I cherish this blog! If you are a new mother, try to write down every detail that you want to remember because if you have more children---you might be quick to forget all of the small things that will become important! (such as how many ounces they drank at what age, when they started using a certain toy, how old were they when they started fully sleeping through the night, what were some of their favorite things to do?) --all of these questions, I have asked myself when comparing my babes. I naturally find myself looking ahead in preparation for what my sweetness will need or what I can do better as her mother.

Unfortunately, I didn't start this blog until Camdyn was 3 months but I am so grateful that I have her first few years documented (one of the main reasons that I blog!)
I am always looking back at all of the memories that were shared virtually.
With that said---no milestones here, just my Maddyn's favorite place in the house!!---her room and her changing table.

I only wish the changing table was not elevated or she could stay on that thing unattended! That's when we do a little switcheroo into her bed to look around. The sun shines perfectly into her room and it adds a great touch of light and I think that's why she enjoys it so much. She will make sweet coos and look at me forever in there.

In addition to her, here are a few of MY favorites on her changing table :)

Ahh yes, blue mason jars, a shabby lamp, a baby powder smelling candle and my absolute favorite anthropology candle!
I now leave you with some picture of the girls

"Mommy, I picked a flower for you"

Those are the sweet words I am blessed with hearing daily. That girl of mine is such a caring soul and I just soak her in! Here are some sweet things that make me a proud momma that I never want to forget!
*I hear "I love you momma" about 50 times a day

*"Jesus would be so happy wouldn't he" (after she does something kind)

*If Dustin and I ever raise our voice at one another she will always run in the room and scream "you two be nice!"---we can never disagree around her :)
*I love when she slowly grabs my face when she has something important to tell me
*she loves her sister dearly and I mean she LOVES her so much. Not once have we had to get on to her for doing something mean to her

*she adores her daddy and will scream in excitement when he walks through the door
*she has learned what its like to have to wait now that we have another little one in the house and she will wait patiently and remind us if we have forgotten to get her something
*she will simply walk up throughout the day and lay her head on me
*the smallest things excite her and I adore how much she loves life

****these two girls are the loves of my life---besides my spectacular husband :)
