Cowgirl and Daddy

What a beautiful weekend! It goes oh so quickly when it is pretty outside! We had the whole weekend with Dustin since he did not have a game on Friday (and he does not again this Friday!) and we are officially done with tournaments :)
We started our weekend with a family night on Friday, a Camdyn photo shoot for invites on Saturday morning, a date night with Dustin on Saturday night and a party today for one of my best friends little boy!
Ryder celebrated his first birthday in style! April threw him a cowboy/cowgirl party and all of the kids were decked out in their cowboy attire. The decorations were super cute and Camdyn and I had a lot of fun.
Here is our little cowgirl...

They had a bounce house that was a barn and Camdyn had a blast in there and got to meet a lot of new friends while jumping...

She will be seeing one of these shortly at her own birthday party! (well, not a barn...) ha!
Precious Ryder!
I know every little girl loves their daddy but this picture just blows me away! They do this every night when Dustin gets home-- she begs for him to "jump" with her on the couch. He shoots her into the air like a rocket and she loooovves it. The funny thing is that he makes her give him a kiss before each jump. It's now her routine, kiss then jump, kiss then jump. I got a picture of this the other night and it will most definitely be getting printed and framed. I love these 2 people to pieces!
Hmmm..I think it will be printed in black and white!

This is the first week before Easter! This week is going to fly by! I am looking forward to "practice" Easter egg hunts in the backyard (we MUST gather more than the neighbors...ha!) , REAL Easter egg hunts, dying Easter eggs, traveling to visit our family in Ennis, and my most favorite--the Easter celebration at our wonderful church on Saturday night!

*Camdyn memory! Every night before bedtime I rock my little girl (she never actually goes to sleep on me anymore but this is just our downtime before I lay her in her bed for the night) and we talk about our day and what was her most favorite part and then I proceed to tell her everyone that loves her. I always start out telling her how much mommy loves her and then she always says "daddy?" next and then "Bobby?" next and then the list keeps going. It just melts my heart. She always says "sure" or "ugh hugh" and smiles every time I ask her if she knows how much Jesus loves her. One night we were talking about her day (keep in mind this precious head lays on me the whole time she is talking with her paci in her mouth!) and we had had a very eventful day with a party and other exciting things and she got so excited and said "daddy, slide, park" I love how that was the best memory she had gotten out of her day. Those are the simple pleasures that matter the most in her world.

Spring Break 2010

I am a bit confused! Today is our last day of Spring Break and we woke up to about 6 inches of snow! The last time I got excited but not so much this time. I think everyone else around us was not as eager this time because on my drive through town there was only one person that I saw outside playing in it. We will still go out and walk around when missy wakes up from her nap just to get another glimpse of it. :)

Once again, our Spring Break was perfect. I think I was away from Camdyn no longer than maybe 2 hours the whole break...wonderful.

So you know my long list of things to do?? Well I did get some of them checked off and then I prioritized and changed them up a bit and added a few new things :) Here are some Spring Break accomplishments in our household :
*Drove to Ennis for a play date to visit my good friends April and Stephanie and their sweet kids.
*Got a few highlights while I was there, not in the plans but I love my old hairdresser
*Did a little summer shopping
*Got tons of stuff planned for C's party all through the click of a button!
*Spent a lot of time with my family at home
*Went to the park (unfortunately, not everyday as planned)
*Camdyn and I spent a lot of time with Aunt Taytee
*Pretty much "organified" -ha! my child! This lactose adventure has forced me to put her on soy products and as a result, I got the urge to buy everything organic for her! She has grown up with a lot of it but now it's mainly what she eats. Now, if we can just afford it for Dustin and I!! :)
*Planned and booked our vacation...Gulf shores!
*Made Pioneer woman's "french puffs" and they are delish with coffee
*Watched a lot of America's NTM when Cam went to sleep...New season!
*Used my b-day gift card (thanks Gran!) and got a pedicure
*Sat back and watched my little girl play and soak in everything around her. She finds enjoyment in so many things.
*Camdyn attended her first 2 -year old birthday party...and it was so much fun-Happy Birthday Ella Grace!
*Did some thinking and realized that it is getting about time for C to get a haircut
*Went and watched Daddies team play at the Rough Rider Stadium

Here are some pictures of Camdyn throughout her Spring Break just being herself with some of her loves...
Have I told you about this hat? She picked it out of the dollar section (out of everything she could choose and this is what she picked) She wears it everyday at home. The funny thing is Dustin's grandma asked if she was going to wear it on Easter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have an adventurous child who sometimes gets bored easily. I got her these jumping bunnies and she makes this face every time they pop up. The next picture shows the bun-bun in action!

Cam spent soooo much time with Bozley aka/ Bobby.

The next few pictures are Camdyn with Elmo. I would find her doing these things and I would have to snap some pictures so she can look back on how much she loved this guy.

First we caught them sunbathing...Yes, she put him there beside her

And I found her reading him a very difficult book with no pictures!

Please notice what she was reading him (The Bathroom Baseball Book-that had baseball trivia questions inside)

She gets all dressed up in her bracelets and pushes him around the house and outside.

Our big event was the Gaylord! This little girl loves this place and I don't think she stopped smiling while she was there. We got our teacher rate that we always get but for some reason they gave us a humongous room! Literally, huge! Dustin even looks in awe of our room :)

Her and daddy even played some soccer in it!

and of course jumped on the bed together.

We ordered crab cakes from room service but instead they brought calamari by accident and it was the best octopus I have ever eaten..ha! Camdyn loved it too along with her lemon.

Camdyn's favorite was of course the balcony and the balloon guy that made her a flower balloon. That girl loves her a balcony! In the morning she went out and sat with her blankie, a sippy cup full of milk in her pajamas, just like a little old woman reading her paper!

LOVE these of her peeping and smiling!!

Here is our trip to the Gaylord last Spring break. Oh how much that little body has changed!
Even though there is snow on the ground right now...I hear Summer calling our names!!

SPRINGkles!

To start our Spring break, Camdyn, Taylor and I headed off to Sprinkles yesterday to enjoy some cupcakes! They were very good and I look forward to trying a different flavor on our next visit! Camdyn got vanilla on vanilla (I think we made this up because I'm not sure I saw this on the menu), I got milk chocolate and Taytee got Red velvet!
We have the entire week off to ourselves and I am super excited. However, this is supposed to be a "break" week but instead I have a whole list of "to do's" and hopefully if I post them, I will hold true to my word or at least get 80% of it done??! Some are important that I NEED to get done and some are just for leisure :)
*Plant a garden (with the help of my dad!)
*Go on a date with Dustin by ourselves-if we can fit that into his busy schedule!
*Get back to reading my devotional more often
*Fly a kite
*Get the rest of Camdyn's birthday planned!
*Clean the house head to toe (hmmm...)
*Make it to most of Dustin's baseball games (and hope that my -almost- 2 year old makes it through most of the game without falling down the bleachers)
*Get some sun while Cam takes a nap
*Get a pedicure
*Wean Camdyn back onto milk products (we found out that the virus made her lactose intolerant and that's why she kept getting sick...short term though)
*Do a little shopping for myself instead of my little girl-I did great yesterday though and bought myself 2 bathing suits!! Cam already has 5 :(
*Go to the park almost everyday with C
*Buy something yellow and navy (see, not so important but I love these 2 colors)
*Sew Camdyn some springy pants
*Catch up on all of my tv shows
*Get all of my pictures developed
I'm sure my list will grow and grow and hopefully some of this will get done. We head out this week to our usual vacation spot-The Gaylord and that's where we 3 will do our Spring Break relaxing!

Turn that frown upside down!

We survived this week! Not our best week that is for sure. We all managed to get the stomach bug and I had to miss 3 days of work and that just throws my whole week off. I'm looking forward to starting a fresh Monday with a fresh new week and then it is SSPPPPRIING BREEAKK! Do you hear the excitement?! :)

I was Pioneer Woman on Sunday before our "frowny week" and my twice baked potatoes and flat apple pie were both delish!! I took a picture just for you!

I made her icing to go on top...I thought it would make it much better and yes it did!

Today was such a beautiful day...beautiful. I don't know about you but once Christmas is over with-I am ready for warm weather. I love fall and part of Winter and then that's all of the coolness I can handle. Spring feels like it is here and I wish it could stay. Cammy woke up, we ran a ton of errands and got some birthday gifts ordered (shout-out to Ryder and Ella!), ate lunch, C took a nap, party planned, cleaned house, and then we played outside forever! I could sit and watch her all day... I love the look of a thin crisp embroidered shirt, shorts and side swept bangs on my baby~

Raisins anyone?
I had to add this on here so I never forget this and I will have to get it on video because this is one of the small things that I love going on with her right now. She has yet to say the word yes(well maybe but I can't remember)...we definitely hear her say no and have heard that forever. Instead of Yes, she says "sure". We started noticing this a few months ago and it has not gone away. Anytime I ask this little girl a question and she approves she says "sure"...I think I smile each and every time I hear this and I hear it a million times a day. She is my "sure" girl and I'm so glad to have this face back!
