Happy Monday!

Monday's aren't always the best now are they?! So I thought I would make this a great Monday and post some recent pictures and little memories of our "lovey"! Camdyn does not really look in the mood to take pictures but that sometimes makes the best pictures when they show their sweet solemn faces.
We have seen a change between 15 to 16 months with our Camdyn. She is trying to talk so much more now and becoming just like the personality that our family portrays. Dustin and I have been together now pretty much forever :) so we are definitely very much the same person. We grew up together..."literally" so Camdyn only has the option to be like her mommy AND her daddy. :) There is so much humor between the 3 of us that we share together that makes our life so happy. She has grown so much into what I imagined my daughter would be. When we are at home, we are rarely in 2's...it is always the three of us, just enjoying one another. I love that Camdyn is to the age that she understands what we say and what we do and that she finds enjoyment in spending time with us. Here are a few cute things that she has done lately that I want her to be able to look back on.
*Today when we were driving home I was behind a car that kept slamming on his breaks, so in result, I had to tap my breaks as well. It happened about 2 times while Camdyn was trying to rest and take a nap. Well each time I would do it I would hear a raspy little voice in the backseat say "wo" and it was really drawn out. Precious!! I love how she is starting to use words in the right context.
* I will never forget a few weeks ago (and I don't think her Gran will either) when I was trying all of Camdyn's old winter clothes that still had tags on them. I was so excited that they still fit her perfectly that I kept trying different ones on her and told her to show her daddy when I was done. She completely put a fashion show on for him. She would get something on and run in the other room to show her daddy. Not only that, she would not say anything but wait by the door with a little smirk and her hip out until he would say something back to her and then she would run back to me. I can only imagine what the future holds for this little girl and US!!!
*Camdyn has started noticing her mommy's toenails. I have had fun lately getting them decorated differently. Well I think she has decided that she wants to have hers that way so she will sit still with her little piggies out for me to paint. The only thing we are having to work on is keeping her from trying to touch them while I am painting them!

Most of these pictures include our furry friend (Note: Bozley has 4 legs even though the poor guy looks like he is missing his front leg). I think they are all so sweet that I couldn't just pick a few to put on here.

This one and the next makes my heart melt (guess who she was looking at in these pictures...daddy!"

She stood up so she could show her outfit from "Taren Boutique"!!

We did our usual grilling out yesterday and I was in the kitchen and this is what I saw when I peeked in at Camdyn.

Sweet girl climbed up on the rocker and laid down to watch her movie with her big green paci.

Pepaws and finger painting

One day last week Camdyn and I went to mom and dads house to eat spaghetti and Camdyn went outside to play with Pepaw in his "secret garden" backyard! When they lived in Ennis they had an unbelievable backyard that I thought would take him forever to recreate when they moved...it did not take him long at all! He used to be a landscaper so he definitely has a green thumb! They also have a pond that has tons of goldfish in it and Camdyn loves to look and talk to the fish. Pepaw taught Camdyn how to feed the fish and also how not to eat the fish food. She really enjoyed it!!
Here she is throwing it into the pond
She also loves to climb into chairs and sit at tables. Here she is sitting at their little bistro table.

This is only half of their pretty backyard. Their is also a huge vegetable garden!

Yesterday at Mrs. Sherry's Camdyn finger painted! The good part about it is that it had "edible" ingredients in case she decided to take a lick! ha! I think she will like it more and more as she gets older but as of right now...my child does NOT like to get dirty. If a piece of grass dares to get on her foot, she will point at it and tell me to get it off of her immediately! So I think with it being all over her hands, confused her a bit. Sherry said though that she eventually decided it was okay to paint with it all over her hands.

All done! ...look how excited she looks!

All dressed now and sitting with her masterpiece!

Look how pretty it is! :)

Here is just a funny picture that she sent me of Camdyn in her shades!

Did anyone else go outside today around 10:00? Oh my gosh...it was gorgeous and so nice out there! I was hoping that Camdyn would sleep late so I could sleep for a while and she slept until 9:30! We then went outside and enjoyed the cool weather. Later we are headed to Allen for family night and some shopping...can't get much better than that! Hopefully I'll get some good pictures of her before we leave.

Swinging and more!

On Friday Camdyn went to her first "Meet the Pirate Night"! We had a really good time just sitting back and eating popsicles and Camdyn throwing Dustin's baseballs everywhere. It was fun to see familiar faces from the high school and from town. Everyone was very shocked to see how much she had grown! When it was over we came home and continued to enjoy the cool weather and Cam kicked off her shoes and swung outside with me. We LOVE that swing. Camdyn just relaxes while we get to relax and swing on our swing. I got many sweet pictures and facial expressions of her that I must share.
Enjoying a Vanilla Wafer before leaving
Oh this one cracks me up! She looks like she is riding the Texas Giant! I must have pushed her pretty high during this one!
Camdyn then figured out if she got her arms underneath the straps that she could stand up...she got in trouble after this "stunt"!
Sometimes on the weekends Dustin will go and get me donut holes and coffee at a little donut shop by our neighborhood. On Sunday before church he went and got me some while Cam and I were sleeping. It was the cutest thing ever...he brought home a few donut holes for Camdyn that had pink icing on top!! How precious is that?!! I love him and Camdyn did too after getting to eat them :)
Later on that day I went and worked in my classroom while Dustin watched Camdyn. He took a picture for me to see her hair when she woke up so I thought I would share that as well.

That is one wild woman!

Tomorrow is our 2nd day of school. We are adjusting well!

What have we been up to?

Oh how busy we have been this week! The first week before school starting is always such a busy time... I did some big things before this week so I have managed my time pretty well and I am able to to pick sweet girl up quickly after we get out! Camdyn has adjusted great to getting back up and going to see Sherry. She even said Sherry yesterday for the first time...hard word!!
Camdyn has been talking so much more lately!!

She went to the spray park in Allen the other day and Sherry got some pictures of her on the horsey and a swing that it looks like I could fit in!! Cam is "roughing" it in these pictures but they are so cute!

Hilarious!!
Gran and Grandad got Camdyn this car that she was very possessive over when we went to the jump place a while back. We also got her a swing so she can swing outside and we have gotten so much use out of these 2 things! Everyday when Cam gets home she runs to get into her car and slams the door and then she runs to the door to go swing.

This was taken at 7:00 in the morning...she was already ready to go for a drive with her 3 favorite items!!

This is what I've been up to lately! I made these the other night for "Meet the Teacher Night" (by the way I have precious students!!). This popcorn is so good! Each piece has a different flavor...the blue tastes like cotton candy!! I am doing a movie/Hollywood theme in my class this year so I thought it was only fitting to have yummy popcorn for them! You can click here to check out my class website (another project I have been updating when Cam goes to bed at night!)

I don't have a picture of Dustin but here is his recent picture he took of our house. Sadly our grass passed away last winter and he has worked so hard on our yard to get it green again. It looks so pretty to me! The begonias up front are beautiful and huge too!
Tonight we have Meet the Pirate Night and Camdyn is going with me. We will be visiting Daddy's baseball booth and definitely the cheerleaders and hopefully Camdyn will get to meet Pete the Pirate! I'll try to get some pictures of her before we go. :)

Our Energizer Bunny!

What does this little girl

and this
spin top have in common????

Camdyn has definitely found her love for water this summer! A while back she started turning circles over and over in the deep end with us close by just in case she decided to let go. She has gotten a lot faster lately! Cam is a brave little girl who sure loves to spin circles in her float! (Sorry about all of the noise in the background we had Dustin, me, Melissa, Macey and all of the swimmers jabbering!)

P-U-M-P Pump it up!

On Wednesday we all headed out with the babies to Pump It Up Jr in Plano to let them play together one last time before summer was up. It was such a great place to end our summer! Right when we got there Camdyn found the tallest slide and stairs to climb and before I could get to her she decided to slide down the slide on her own. I promise I am not a cruel mommy and I tried to get to her in time but she is my fearless Cam Ham and went down by herself! From the pictures it looks like a bad slide but she had fun and we all got a really good laugh out of it! I forgot my camera so Amanda and Melissa took some pictures for me...thanks girls!!!

So this is how you are supposed to slide down the huge inflatable slide!

Good job Barrett!

Way to go Ella!

Way to follow rules Aunt Mel and Macey!

Oh noooo!!!! (Please click on this picture to see her face and if it doesn't work click here and then the picture) I felt horrible until I saw that she thought it was fun!

The next time I decided to make sure that she stayed with me and then I let her go down on her own the correct way.

If only she could read...

Once again...this looks bad but she was just fine afterwards :)

From the sidelines pretty like Kate and Ashley cheered us on.

After numerous times down the slide there was no way to get Camdyn away from this Tikes car. That will have to be one of our next big purchases! She would not leave it alone.

Camdyn and Ella decided to ride together in it...so cute

We had such a great time and I hope we can make it back up there soon again. Tomorrow is Camdyn's first day of school!! I have gotten her new snacks, a big girl lunch box for me to pack her lunch every morning, her bathing suit (Mrs. Sherry has an awesome pool down the street) and all of the other goodies packed and ready to go. Once again this is a bittersweet moment for me but when I'm teaching the day goes by extremely fast and then I am there to pick missy back up! It feels like yesterday that I was dropping her off for the first time at 4 months...see here

Wow! How quickly 1 year can fly.

Cotton Candy snow cone please!

Yesterday after I got done doing some work in my classroom, I came home and took Cam Cam to get her a snow cone! We have had slurpee's before but a snow cone is a different story! Camdyn highly enjoyed her tasty treat while waving and visiting with some other customers. :) She was such a good girl and propped herself on top of the table and ate with mommy. I felt sorry for her at one point because an ambulance drove literally about 15 feet by us and she didn't know how to react. She just waved at the lady next to us with this stunned look on her face. I think we will be making many more stops by the snow cone stands when I get off of work!

Waiting on me to get her out of this car seat!

Walking to get her snow cone!
When I'm not watching she will put her hand in there to eat...much easier :)

Good girl

Today we had the dreaded 15 month shots. :( Her pediatrician is in Dallas off of Walnut Hill so we always try to make it a bit enjoyable afterwards for us and her. Camdyn is to the age now that she knows when she waves bye to people that they are either leaving or she is leaving. She broke my heart today when she was getting her shots...she had tears streaming down her bright red face and she continuously was waving bye to the nurse and the doctor. I think she kept thinking that if she waved bye enough times that they would either leave or I would get her out of that room! The doctor says that she is growing great ( 95th percentile for height and weight!!!) and that she is unbelievably strong! He kept going on about her abdominal muscles...ha! Needless to say after our traumatizing shots, we went to Lone Star Baby (my favorite) and let her pick out whatever stuffed animal she pleased. She than ran to eat Thai with me and to see her nanna at her bank. Even though we have two band aides on her legs, we still had a great day together.
I am really looking forward to tomorrow! All of the babies are meeting up at Pump it Up Jr. which has indoor inflatables for them to jump and play on. I will definitely have my camera for this one!
