PiNk DaY!

PINK DAY: Definition: Camdyn and mommy taking the day off to spend time together doing whatever we please!

Today Camdyn and I declared it a PINK day and did we have a great time or what! I have been contemplating taking the day off because I am always one who feels guilty for missing a day of work...I guess that is why I was the child who rarely missed a day of school when I was little! On Sunday Cam started getting a runny nose and was sneezing over and over but I think it was a result from the flu shot she got on Friday. So her being a little sick made me even more tempted to stay home and love on her allll day. Here is a brief description of our day :)

First Camdyn and I slept until 9:00...wow did that feel good. Then we got up and had breakfast together and Camdyn ate strawberry oatmeal and bananas. We then watched her new fave...Sesame Street and went outside to swing. When we were done playing she was ready for another nap so I put her down hoping that she would not sleep too long since we were about to go on our picnic. Nope...she slept forever! I cleaned, made pumpkin bread, shopped a little on the internet, got dressed, packed our picnic bag and cleaned some more. I was like a puppy dog...sitting around waiting on her to wake up! Finally the sleeping beauty awoke and we headed out the door. We went to a nearby park and had a picnic while Camdyn grazed her plate and explored her surroundings.

This looks just like a picture I have seen in a magazine some where!

Then we discovered that one of our favorite animals...DUCKS...were swimming nearby!

You can just see the excitement in her face from being so close to her feathery friends. Camdyn always reminds me to appreciate the small things god gives us.

I adore her sweet nature and how she always tries to see what our reactions are when she is excited.

I took one million pictures of her because I just love looking at her so much!

We then went home and cooked the pumpkin bread, played outside some more and then ate it. Camdyn thought it was delicious! She even wanted to dunk it in her milk left over from her cereal. Last we got dressed and headed out to the Homecoming parade in Wylie. Daddy had his players on a fire truck and really wanted us to ride on it but I did not exactly want to be seen riding around the parade on a fire truck. ha! So instead, we took pictures of him while we watched the parade with April and baby Ryder. Camdyn loved looking at Ryder and saying "babaay" over and over.

There is Dustin...center!

Here are 2 friends that live in the flower baskets on our house. Now only if I could have gotten a picture of Camdyn's face when she saw these green little guys for the first time!

I will end with the most sweetest picture ever! This is how I found Camdyn next to her Nanna when she stayed with them for an hour on Saturday.

Heaven!!!

Our day together was great. I love taking the time out of our hectic little lives to enjoy one another. She is by far my BFF :) and I love her!!!!

Happy first week of Fall!

Camdyn just wanted to spread a little "love" to everyone and to also let you know how EXCITED we are that Fall has begun! We can't wait to see what this Fall will bring to us! Hmmm...Halloween celebrations, the Charlie Brown series, Fall decor, Thanksgiving, pumpkin bread, Pumpkin Lattes, pumpkin candles (we love pumpkin!) snuggling, soft blankets, new t.v shows, cool weather, leggings! :) , soup...wow and then Christmas time is afterwards! Can you just feel the excitement in my words? ha! Here is a happy girl that wanted some pictures with her brother in this crisp, cool weather. We ADORE this precious little girl. Yesterday she turned 17 months!

Plano Balloon Festival 2009

This year we were excited about attending the Balloon festival in Plano. We had hopes that we might possibly get to see all of the hot air balloons (since our daughter LOVES balloons) but they actually did not launch until 6:00. However, we got to eat the "fair" food and look around the festival. The downside to our day was the scorching heat! I do not think that I have ever been that hot since umm....cheerleading camp when I was in high school. :) Cammy and I got to enjoy some dippin dots to cool us off! We will definitely make a trip back next year during the afternoon hours. Here are some snapshots of us getting a little toasty!

Eating lunch sitting with daddy

Camdyn holding her first flower balloon with pride!

Here she couldn't decide if she wanted to get on all of the bounce slides or not. (Note: that is not Dustin's leg in the picture :) )

Showing support for her Gran's new favorite show...GLEE!!

We got to ride in a hot air balloon!!! ha! Nope, just took a picture like we were really in one. Wow, we could show Camdyn this when she is older and fool her a bit!

We had such a fabulous weekend! We weren't able to make it to the festival on Saturday because we went to Aspacians in Rockwall and then Melissa's cabaret that night. Saturday was a great day and I got sister some super cute things!!

Now, who says you can't go to work everyday, take good care of a one year old AND cook a good dinner?! I made a delicious recipe from Pioneer Woman's website! She has some fabulous recipes.

Getting it all ready...yep, that is sauteed shrimp you see in the top corner...yum!

The finished product! Camdyn definitely approved of mommies pasta. See the green stuff? That is basil from OUR garden. We are overflowing with basil that the whole garden is leaning over to the ground. Yesterday our first bell pepper made his debut!

Camdyn and I had such a good time after school today. I had a little talk with Camdyn last night explaining to her that she is not allowed to take naps when we get home anymore unless she is just exhausted because that is our time! Everyday she has been falling asleep in the car (Mrs. Sherry must be wearing her out!) and then she wants to sleep forever more when she gets home. I woke her up after we pulled in the garage but took a little advantage of her before getting out of the car. I loved all over that face and just listened to her while she was sleeping since I rarely get to do that unless she falls asleep on me at night. It was heavenly. Tonight we also went for a walk with the whole family since the weather was cool. Camdyn even laid down with me to drink her milk before brushing her teeth. To top our night off, Dustin and I had our 2nd annual "watch the storms come in" together just a bit ago. He is my little weatherman. What a great start to our week!

Say Hey!

Knowing that our child loves to dance Dustin heard a perfect song for Camdyn to dance to on the radio the other day. When we got home on Sunday he downloaded it and it is called "Say Hey" and we L-O-V-E it! Camdyn went crazy when she heard it and did all of her dance moves but when I got the camera out she did a few other interesting things instead. She did however, throw a couple of her moves in there such as the head roll at the beginning and the shoulder dance at the end! We are not sure what that first move is where she is laying across the treadmill! :) She also made her angry face (as we call it) at her daddy the entire time and then would smile afterwards. Sorry about the saggy diaper...you know how that goes! Happy Monday!

Weekly re-cap

It was a great week and a quick one at that! Here are many pictures that we took this week of missy!

Cam running around with her fireman hat. I just couldn't get one fast enough with it on her head.
Want to know how I spent my Friday night? Here was one of my projects after Camdyn went to sleep!

She loves it! Camdyn also thinks that it is a little bench for her to sit on while she reads. We tried it out last night when brushing her teeth and she has to stand on her tip-toes but I think in about a month she will hopefully be able to use it flatfooted.

I got Thai to-go after Camdyn and I got all the supplies on Friday to make her step stool and then I made her a plate. After getting it ready I realized that she actually had a "Thai" dinner too! She begged and begged for some more pickled cucumbers and she also likes the crunchy noodles. We added some carrots and raspberries to make it a little more healthier!

Camdyn now loves to color EVERYDAY! She begs to color so here she is showing her artistic skills.

Yesterday we headed to Fire-wheel and ate at Olive Garden (Cam loves the fettuccine), shopped a little for Winter clothes and went to Barnes and Noble where Camdyn definitely cared more about all of the stuffed animals way more than the books! I got some really cute pictures of our daughter who looks like a 3 year old here! She looks so old to me :(

*Camdyn memory: We now have a favorite new friend at our house and his name is Elmo! Gran and Grandad bought this for her last year and she really didn't understand what he was all about. He is the big Elmo that was in the video with her on the last post. She adores him! I don't really understand why she likes to carry him everywhere because he is pretty heavy being that he is the "Elmo alive" It's so funny to hear her grunt and groan and yell "wo" as she moves him place to place and in and out of her Tikes car.
