1-2-3 Imagine!

One word...FUN! We had such a great time yesterday at Camdyn's first Elmo show! I was a little nervous that the girls might not want to stay in their seat the entire time but they did! They were both perfect and so well behaved (well we had one little oops when we tried to hide their balloons from them so that people could see!) When Melissa and I pulled up to the theater we kept screaming and getting them pumped up :) for Elmo and then they started doing the same thing...they were so cute. All of the kids were decked out in their Elmo shirts/stuffed Elmo's and I think that made them even more excited. It was such an entertaining show and I can't wait to go back to another one!

Love this picture of the girls smiling at each other.

She wore her backpack PROUD the entire time!

Right when we walked into the lobby it smelled like cotton candy (yum!) so we headed to get some!

She kept running to this over and over!

We met a lot of new friends...look at that face!

Of course we got a picture of her favorite number....2!

Elmo's world! All of the kids were very excited when this scene appeared. Sitting in Melissa's lap for a little switch-up!

She did a lot of dancing during the show!
During the intermission a guy brought this out!!

and as a result our girls wanted one! So we waited in line to find out that they were the most expensive balloons we have ever bought...but we waited in line and they wanted one so...
we got one. When intermission was over we then had to stuff them under our seat so everyone could see. Cam and Mace didn't exactly like this idea but in a few minutes, they were fine!
After the show was over we went into the lobby and bought the girls a few souvenirs and they played and danced around.

Not sure who this little friend is next to Macey!
and Camdyn picked out a ball and a t-shirt and here she is playing with her ball...
Last night we definitely had to get that hair washed because there were a few dollops of cotton candy in it from the show! I decided that it was probably okay not to dry it and was that a huge mistake! We now do not have the leisure of going to bed with our hair wet anymore!! This is what it looked like when she woke up!
This picture actually looks a little better then what it looked like in reality. :)
Tonight I take on a big task of making some recipes from Pioneer's cookbook! I hope it is a success...Twice baked potatoes and her flat apple pie!!

Why is this little girl so happy?!

Because she is 22 months

and is going to see her most favorite red monster in the world

(and I'm sure the marshmallow is tasty! ha!)

tomorrow LIVE!

Now mommy is very happy about Elmo Live but not so much about

the 22 month part because that only means that we are 2 months shy from being 2 years old. Where has my little 9.2 pd. -week old infant gone to??? :(
Over these last 2 months we have noticed big changes in our little girl. Changes that only mean she is getting older and developing into a precious toddler and in which I am thankful for. She has been talking sooo much lately. She has been trying to create sentences and it is so sweet when you get to hear their voices trying so hard to communicate. One of my favorite things to do lately are going on "dates" with my Camdyn. Dustin has now entered into the baseball world so her and I go to dinner, shop and usually always end with dessert on Friday nights. It's so much fun. She talks my head off at dinner and I love her company. This is what our conversations sometimes consist of...
Cam- Mommy?
Me- Yes Camdyn...
Cam- I poop
Me- Laugh...alright Camdyn thanks for letting me know that..
Cam- Mommy?
Me- Yes Camdyn...
Cam- I tee tee an poop
and this will go on forever...
Sorry for the dirty bathroom talk but this is what she tells me constantly and laughs about it every time. That little girl!
Our morning talks are the best though on our way to school...she always looks out the window, up into the sky and says "mommy, I see moon" and it makes my heart melt...something about her love for the moon, early in the mornings is precious to me.

Back to Elmo LIVE!!! We are starting our morning with Cream cheese cinnamon rolls, heading out with Macey Cate and Melissa -and off to see the Sesame Street crew! Tonight Camdyn and I ran into Dillard's to look around and she fell in love (guys I mean IN LOVE) with an Elmo backpack. I have never seen her kiss something so many times as she did him while we were shopping. We usually have to tell the toys "goodnight" and leave them at the store but she suckered me into buying him and perfect timing right?!

We have our Elmo backpack, tickets, gummy worms and Coldstone Jelly Belly's set and we are ready to go! Melissa and I are packing some sweets for the girls in case they get fidgety and try to get up from their seats! Bribery!

Now, I didn't forget about my posting I promised from last Sunday (Adina)...I was craving Seafood so Dustin was going to do his usual blackened catfish and he called and said he had a big surprise for me. (I love his surprises). He then came home and laid this out for me...

and said we were going to need this for our dinner. At first all I could picture in my head was a big walnut but then I realized that this was for the crab legs!! This guy went all out! He went to our 2nd favorite store (Costco but Target is first) and bought fresh crab legs, a lobster tail, crab cakes and fish! (Taylor, sit down if you are reading this since you can't stand seafood!) Then he proceeded to tell me he was going to grill it all!! Oh man, it was delicious!

Chef Dustin

This was my contribution to the dinner...garlic butter!
My entree :)
Now, this came in today and has replaced my other cookbook
It has the best recipes ever in it and they seem so simple! We shall see...

and here is a picture of my Cam Ham from this week after her bath, keeping her Bobby company during his dinner.

Enjoy your weekend!!!

Some faves!

I get very excited when I find things I love! I wanted to share a few of them with you! I try to always stay on topic -for the purpose of my blog (memories for C) but sometimes it's fun to take a little detour to some things I enjoy as well!

First of all...if I had 2 jobs in addition to my own :) (yeah right!) I would buy this shower curtain! I am in love with ruffles!!!

It reminds me of a little bathing suit that Cam had last Summer. Anything with ruffles...I am drawn to!

Instead, I decided to buy this today that I have been wanting to purchase but have not sat down to actually do it!

I cannot wait to get this little book in the mail! It has pictures on each recipe just like her blog to show you step by step. I have a feeling this will be one of my readings before bedtime :)

Yesterday I was looking at one of my parenting magazines and I saw these in there!

Well not actually the sweet potato ones but they were cut up potatoes instead! It is not a bit of fun to me to peel potatoes, cut them up and then wait on them to boil. Instead you can pop this in the microwave and then add your whipping cream, butter, salt, pepper and the mixer and voila...you have mashed potatoes! I will let you know if they taste the same as the real deal :)

This

is something that Dustin and I laugh about that we never thought we would have to revolve our dinner around! Well, a few months ago Camdyn would not let us eat dinner peacefully when we went out because of her "curious" personality! She was okay but not as STILL as we would have liked her to be. Instead we started putting her in the booth with us and we were back to being able to eat out! We do not go to restaurants unless they have booths available. If they don't-then we get it to go!

Here is another regular favorite of mine from church today,

Those are my late favorites that I wanted to share...maybe I will share some more later!
Here is miss Camdyn from today with her new favorite hat that her daddy took while I ran to town.

The other day at Target I was checking out the super dollar section and I told her she could pick something out and she picked this beautiful Easter hat out! We think it would be so pretty on her for Easter...don't you think??? (only kidding) She wears it all the time but usually when she has ALL of her clothes off which makes it even more funny to watch.

Camdyn also loves to play "telephone" and talk for ever on her phone. I came in the room today after hearing her 5 minute conversation and she had Dustin's i-pod and using it as a phone. I came across this picture today while I was loading the others and it SCREAMS Summer! I can't wait to see this tan brown body in a few short months and all of the fun that comes a long with Summer! Oh well that it might snow again on Tuesday...I can always dream :)
My next posting will be the humongous seafood dinner that D made and surprised me with tonight!! It was wonderful!!

Happy Valentine's Day 2010

Well another holiday has passed us by so quickly. I love this holiday...everything is always so cute and sweet that you see around this time of year. My little valentine had a great Valentine's day as well! She awoke to this...

I really had no idea they would be this pink! Oh but the pretty box attracted me to them!
She enjoyed them though! Please don't think we are complete piglets around our house :) we just like to eat some sweets every now and then!! ha!

Dustin and I went on a date the previous weekend for my birthday so instead, we decided to bring our sweet little girl out with us on Sunday to celebrate heart day! We had such a good time. We went to our usual...Allen and ate at Grimales (sign up on their website and you get a free large pizza for your birthday!! and it's huge! ). We then got Camdyn a few necessities at Babies R Us (potty and a new monitor) and our last stop was the fabulous yogurt place. Here are some pictures of our "biker chick" on her motorcycle...

I have been trying to get a good video of Cam singing her favorite song..."Emo's woooold". She usually sings the last part and it never ends! She only stops at the end to catch her breath! It is sooo cute. I didn't get it on video but I did get some of it-mainly her changing the pitch of her voice. She thinks it's funny because we are taping her! The videos are very similar but she holds out the last note longer on the last video and does her sweet little smile/laugh. We adore you Camdyn! (By the way, the backup singer needs some voice lessons...nice duet...)
