Updates

Sherry has sent me some pictures lately and some were pretty funny and I wanted to post a few. :)

What a great way to enjoy a good book!

Amy and I usually manage to get to Sherry's in the morning at the exact same time and the babies were dressed like they had just called each other and planned out what they were going to wear. Sherry decided to take them to have their pictures made in the bluebonnets! Aren't the bluebonnets so pretty?! They are never ending in these pictures.

This is by far the most funniest face! She is completely as mischievous looking in this picture as you can get!

This one also is very interesting. That is a typical girl for you! She is either dancing in front of Barrett or telling him to "stay away"!!

Monday Camdyn had her dreaded 1 year checkup. I dread those things so much. I hate to see her go through that pain and then look at Dustin and I and wonder why we are letting them do this to her...breaks my heart :(
The doctor did say that she was a healthy growing baby and she looked great. She is a quarter off from being 32 inches tall!! Dustin jokes that if we have a boy that he will probably be a puny short thing while Camdyn gets all of the height! We then went to Cheesecake Factory (yummy!) and I gave her a little whipped cream as a reward for all of the heck she had just been through!
Three more days and we have Camdyn's big birthday celebration! I have still been working on things for it...I feel like I'm planning my wedding all over again.... not really but it is a lot of work!
Time to go finish cooking my "southern" dinner for tonight....sausage, gravy, toast and collard greens! Don't make fun!

Happy Birthday to you!

Camdyn is now a one year old and I cannot believe it. As we all say...it's very hard to imagine that this time has come so fast. A year ago ago at this exact time, I was in the recovery room waiting eagerly to see the little girl that would change my life forever. I will never forget waiting and waiting for the nurse to bring her to me so I could just hold that 9 pd baby in my arms for the first time. About 2 hours later, they wheeled her in the room in her little cart and all I could hear was that sweet hungry girl sucking on her 2 middle fingers and wanting her mommy to feed her. That was the best feeling in the world getting her and knowing that God had created this perfect baby that we would love with everything that we had and it only got better from there. Here she is in her first picture taken in the hospital and one after being home for a few days. :)
Camdyn had her birthday yesterday and awoke in the morning with "cotton candy" in her bed! I love pinks and blues so we gave her some cotton candy to wake up to. Dustin came and got me when it was time to wake her up (since he does his daddy/daughter time with her in the morning) and we came into her room singing happy birthday after the balloons were already put in her bed. Poor thing popped right up and was wondering what in the world was going on. She just had those squinty eyes for a while and then she didn't want to leave all of the balloons that had mysteriously appeared in her bed!
Here is right when we turned her fan off and sang to her

She loves her cotton candy balloons!

She threw it in the air...love this picture!

We then had a very busy day ahead of us. Camdyn went with me to see Baby Kate who is a little doll at the hospital and then we rushed home for the baseball team dinner that they were going to celebrate Cam's birthday but by the time we got home it was pretty late and she was getting tired so we went ahead and decided not go. I got some cute pictures of her in the birthday girl dress that Melissa got for her. I thought it was so cute and she wore it allll day!

We then got into her cake a little but since it was almost bed time we didn't get too crazy with it. We might be saving that for next Saturday night after her birthday bash!

Now, here are some fabulous things Camdyn is doing now that we adore about her! (You don't have to read all of this...mainly for me to keep up with!)

*You love to twirl mommas hair when you go to sleep at night
*When you get sleepy, you will lay your head on me, daddy or Bozley...we love this!
*You can light up a room with your precious face! Everyone is always talking about how many facial expressions you make and how you can talk with those eyes of yours!
*You are usually such a great girl when we go out to dinner. We even had someone come up to us and ask us how we trained you to be that way!
*You still have such a loving way about you and you are very gentle with everyone around you.
*You love to play outside and walk up and down steps.
*You absolutely love it when I tell you that daddy is walking through the door...your face beams
*I look so forward to taking you to school with me everyday especially now that you are facing forward in your car seat! We sing and talk all the way there and I reach back and rub on those thighs and you always laugh.
*I love that tan skin of yours and those huge eyes!
*You are getting so tall now.
*You are down to 3 bottles a day.
*You still sleep perfectly through the night.
*You go directly to bed every night no later than 7:30.
*I love the way that you point at everything.
*Your favorite words to try to say are:
Ball- "bah"
Dada
Bozley- "baaaaaah"
Hi
Baby-"daby" or sometime "Bady"
Ugh oh!- usually "ugh"

*When we tell you to go "seepy" you always lean your head to the side and pretend to go to sleep.
*You now know how to tell us no by shaking your head if you don't want something.
*You have learned to sign "more" when you want more of something.
*You just started putting things over your face and saying "aaaahhh boo!" and lowering it when you get to boo
*When I ask you if I can have something you always share it with me no matter what it is!! You get a kick out of me asking to have some of your passy and when I actually take it from you!
*You have started to understand so many things that I tell or ask you. I can tell by your sweet reactions.
*You have started to wave all the time at people and say hi to them.
*When you get mommy's brush you pretend to brush your hair and also talk on your play phone.
*You are a little climber now!
*You can pretty much figure anything out by exploring it...for example, how to turn the volume up and down on the dvd player, turn light switches on and off, unlock the gate (this is amazing to me to watch!) and turn the computer on.
*You can run now and walk up and down steps so good!
*Every time you go to Nana's and Papa's you always walk up to the picture of Daddy and I on the fire-place and point and smile to Daddy and say "dadda" over and over. It is the most sweetest thing to hear and see you react to seeing daddy's face.
*You still love to carry remotes around the house and we have to search for them after we have put you to bed.

Wow...that was a lot to jot down but she is a growing girl!

Camdyn will be celebrating her birthday next weekend! I'm still trying to get everything organized for it. I love birthday parties...can't wait!

Camdyn enjoying nature :)

Well lookie here! You get to hear from me 2 days in a row! :) Camdyn and I spent a lot of time together outside today watering the flowers and just hanging out and enjoying this hot weather. Our country club pool opens next weekend and I can hardly wait! We need to go get some floaties ASAP! We are not lacking in the swim suit department...I have a bathing suit obsession when it comes to the size 2 T...I will not even tell you how many bathing suits this child has. Hey 12.00 bucks for a bathing suit is not too bad though right? I tell myself that EVERY TIME I see one.

I got a little video of our baby girl just being her normal self. She was in such a calm little mood (as usual) taking in everything around her. She was really into the kid mowing down the street at the beginning and the birds that were up on top of our house. I could watch that little thing all day...who needs t.v when you have a child! Also at this time last year we would have been heading to the hospital to be induced! If only I would have known what was to come with the labor part...ugh...

On a side note, one of my very best friends who I have taught with since I first started teaching will be having her baby most likely tomorrow...that means her and Camdyn will share the same birthday!!! Out of all of the days and months that she could have had baby Kate and the 23rd of April is the day that it will most likely fall on. She is going to be a very special baby to our family!

2 days shy

From being a year old! It feels crazy to say those words. The time has flown by incredibly fast. Dustin and I always sit up at night talking in bed about how grown up she has become and how we cannot believe that she has already been with us for a year.
I wanted to get some pictures today of her outside after I had just taken her dress off from me taking her pictures in her birthday dress. You will get to see those after her party! It was almost a little too hot though today. We went to the park and took her pictures and only swung for about 5 minutes. I was scared she would get too hot and not really be able to tell me she was hot besides her cheekers being bright red! We went to Nanna and Pepops tonight and ate dinner and they had her a precious (well would have been precious) cake that poor mom had savored all day and then she dropped it getting it out of her car to bring it in...made me sad...we still ate it and Cam thought the lick that she got was yummy! Then Camdyn got a little early birthday present and it was her first "real looking" kitty.

Have a great week!

This picture cracks me up! She looks just like she is trying to use some good posture!

A celebration of life!

Part 2 of Easter:
Easter is such an important holiday this year. It has always been important to our family but now we are able to celebrate the life of Jesus dying on the cross and then rising again with the life of our beautiful baby girl. Right now we are not able to teach Camdyn Reece the meaning of holidays exactly the way that we would like to but I know eventually these traditions and family talks that we will have with one another will help her appreciate what God has done for her and given to her.

Our Easter did not start out as I had intended. Sometimes we plan the perfect day and hope that everything falls into line and sometimes it just doesn't happen that way....but... We had a great start on Sunday by sweet girl sleeping until 8:30 and being able to share her Easter basket with her but then I got a headache and we had to miss out on the Easter service. :( Thankfully, I quickly bounced back and we headed to Ennis to finish the way that our day was suppose to happen. I wasn't in the picture taking mood so my wonderful husband decided to get my camera and got many pictures of us and Camdyn.

Good morning sweet girl!

Checking out all of her goodies

As many of you know, she kisses everything that she sees now. This is a sign of endearment towards her new bunny that even smells like berries!

Here are a few pictures that Dustin got of her opening some of her early birthday presents from her family. We didn't get a great full length picture of her in her Easter dress but this was good enough.
Isn't her bow just precious?!!

Dustin's grandparents have a lot of land with many animals...it's almost like your personal zoo! We went and visited their miniature horse, the baby goats ...I really want to talk Dustin into letting us get one to put in the backyard!! :) and the cows.
So check Camdyn out and then you should have seen my gold heels and us trudging through the mud and all of the "presents" that the goats had left for us...nice...

Heading down to visit all of the pets

He's so little!

My favorite! They remind me of little reindeer and they were so gentle and sweet with Cam

Neighborhood Easter Egg hunt

Part 1 of Easter:
On Saturday Camdyn, Macey, Melissa and I headed down to our neighborhood Easter egg hunt. I had no idea it was going to be as big of a deal as it was since last year we were not able to attend. It was amazing! I could not believe how organized and kid friendly that it was! I have also seen many scary looking Easter bunnies in my days and this Easter bunny that Camdyn and Macey got to meet was so cute! I was a little nervous about how Cam would react to him (her?) after seeing Santa a few months back so I let her decide if she wanted to meet him or not. Well from the pictures below, you can see that she was okay with him. I told my family that I think she thought he was just a really large Bozley so I think she warmed up to him fairly well.

"Hey Mace, Is that who I think that is?"

Yep that's the Easter bunny dancing!
All on her own she went and checked him out!

Getting closer....

Yay Cammy!!

"I'm not going to look up, I'm not going to look up"

Big girl!!!

After we met the bunny we danced a little to the good music playing and then the hunt was on! They had each designated area based on your child's age filled with eggs. Camdyn figured out that she needed to put the eggs in her basket so she dropped her 2 in there and then proceeded to take an egg out and throw it down and then she also wanted to give some of her eggs to another little boy. Camdyn and I had a quick discussion that she is supposed to keep her eggs in her basket because there is yummy candy in there that she will be able to enjoy when she gets older. :) Guess how many eggs Camdyn got in her basket when we were finished....

Yep, 1!!! Way to go baby girl!
When we were finished we headed to get a popsicle that they were giving away but they were out so Camdyn got to try some of the ice-cream from an ice-cream sandwich and she loooooveed it!
Here are some memories of Camdyn's first egg hunt.

Waiting on Aunt Issa to arrive and Macey!

On our walk down to our park
