Some of our loves...

I have now decided that I am probably only going to find the time to blog once a week! There is just not enough time in the day for me to find the time or the will to! When I get home, it is completely devoted to my family (minus a few e-mails back and forth) and then off to never never land :) As a result, I have a lot of pictures from different times throughout our week (*in which I love picture randomness*) After looking through our pictures, these are all things that Camdyn and I are enjoying or have always enjoyed. Let's first start off with

Nutella-
Yep, Nutella! Let me ask you a question...have you tried this delicious, chocolate flavored hazelnut dip?! If you have not, go to your nearest grocery store and get you some. I have seen the commercials and all of the talk at school sent me to the store to get some last weekend. It is supposedly a healthy snack and Camdyn and I have been dipping bananas and pretzels in it for an after school snack. Camdyn and I only share about a tablespoon because it goes a long way. As you can tell by her mouth and smile...she gives it an A+ for taste!

School and Mrs. Tracy's-

This year has so far been an incredible year. Camdyn is loving going to her sitters (as she also loved going last year) and is learning so much at Mrs. Tracy's. Camdyn has the sweetest best friend who just turned 4 staying with her and they have become great buddies. Camdyn now hops up BEFORE I have to wake her to get ready and is excited to start her day! She also is enjoying her school. My chatty Cam loves to tell me everything that happens at school all the way down to who took a nap beside her. :) We also came home with our first award...

Sister got an award and her artwork entered into this year's art show. I can't wait to see the piece that was entered. :)

Our bedroom

Over the Summer we decided to spoof up our house and add wood floors to two bedrooms, while changing one whole room into a playroom (playroom-best decision ever made!) and then I felt our bedroom needed a change because of the flooring. I am not one who changes things up too often or gets sick of the style of our house...BUT the floors made our room look dressier so we decided to change our comforter and bedroom decor. I LOVE it. Dustin loves the look of it too. I love the freshness of it and how clean and tidy the colors make it feel. I hope to get a picture of the full room when I get my last project finished.

My favorite...our bed. Camdyn knows that this is off limits when it is made up. She can get in it when it is NOT made. :)

I purchased this before we moved into this house and decoupaged every single one of these squares.(phew!) I love this piece and it will always be one of my favorites. In the picture it looks a bit mustardy but it is actually a soft gold. I wasn't sure what I wanted to put in it so...I decided to use all of Camdyn's apothecary containers from her birthday and did this with them.

I think it looks so shabby chic and feminine!

I also purchased this at an antique store, painted it and hung it on the wall. This wreath is forever old but it looks great in the center.

And of course our curtains.

(Do you see what I see? A little girl in a basket holding up finger puppets!)

I repainted our armoire and Ifound these knobs!
My favorite quote ever that is above our door...
That's all for now-I will get pictures of the playroom next.

The Backyardigans!
Cam has finally made the decision that we are going to watch something else other than Sesame Street! I am super excited about this. We now LOVE the Backyardigans and Super Why. I can see why she loves these guys...

I introduce to you Uniqua :) (on the left in the pink) and Pablo on the right in the blue
Hearing her say all of these characters names-sure makes me laugh!

Last night, we made the finger puppets and they turned out so cute. She loves playing with them.

Our Garden
Let me just say that our garden has gotten out of control! But it's great to go out there and pick a ton of veggies from it.
Camdyn likes to also pick whatever is ripe and ready to be eaten. I can't tell you how many peppers I have eaten from this!
Look how big these banana peppers got. She is using them as a telephone :)

and we also have a little guy living in our garden

Neighbors

Our neighbors have always known Camdyn since she was born. They have gotten to see her grow up and they are such sweet people. They have a little girl that is in third grade and now that Camdyn has gotten older, they now have play dates! It is so cute to see these girls play together. I will hear them in there laughing and Alanis is such an animated reader and she does a super job reading to Camdyn.

They also brought over her old Barbie house and we put it together in our backyard. Camdyn is always sticking her head out screaming "Peek-a-boo" (out of every single opening in this house!) So cute~

Camdyn and mommy time

I know I always say this but I adore every minute of my time with my Camdyn. She is such a precious soul who enjoys every bit of what life has to offer. Me being gone during the day is sometimes hard knowing that I am not with her but she is doing just fine without her momma and daddy and has become such an independent little girl because of the safe situations we have put her in. She wakes up in the morning so excited to begin her day and comes home to me and loves her family time. I am so blessed to have such a great job that does not feel like a job (ha!), a great sitter, while Dustin and I are able to provide for our family and our future. Dustin got a picture of us the other night after Camdyn decided to go and get her a magazine and read it next to me,

I love how she looks up to the ones who love her and always wants to be such a big girl!

What a long post this was! Time to go clean up the house while Camdyn is taking her power nap and then I have a big date tonight! Dustin made reservations for us to go eat dinner underground and then up into the tower for an evening drink! Cheers to the weekend!

Serving the Lord

As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15

PLEASE take some time to listen to this message that I was fortunate to experience at church on Sunday. I absolutely love everything about this series and it could not have been said and displayed anymore clearer than this right here.

Videocast 091910 from Lake Pointe Church on Vimeo.

Can you imagine what the world would be like if everyone prayed with their family TOGETHER?!

First 2 days of school!

Well it's time, our little girl has already headed off to school and will continue this for a very long time! No, it's not Kindergarten but sending your child off with a new group of kids/teachers from 9-2:00 makes anyone anxious (well me at least) However, Kindergarten excites me, knowing that I will be a few halls down from her every day (and I'm sure spying on her!)
Camdyn has always been very independent and has adjusted to change fairly easy, so part of me knew she would be fine AND she was! She loves her momma and daddy but loves to explore the world and soaks in people/life experiences. I think that's why she started walking at 8 months...to get out and see what this world had to offer! :) :)
Camdyn had a great first day and today she had a wonderful 2nd day. (Hence the sleeping right now while I type)

She also LOVES her backpack and we are still waiting to pick up her new lunch box. She gets excited when she puts it on, knowing that she is going to school.
For scrapbook purposes, Camdyn here is your first "school" report card from the first day and....

today!

I laugh at it saying that she learned the letter A and the color red, I'm sure she was thinking-ladies, I already know this. Great repetition for her though right?!

We love you to the moon Reecer!

Zoo trip-Labor Day

This week has FLOOWN by! Could have been because we had Monday off maybe? :) On Labor day, we decided to let this be a Cammy day and what better place to take this animal loven' little girl than to the zoo! However, I will admit that I can only handle the zoo once a year and I know that Dustin would agree with me. It might possibly be because every time we head to the Zoo, it is on a hot, sunny day. The animals were much more happier this time than the last but I am looking forward to going next time when it's cooler. I was very excited to let Camdyn experience the new part of the zoo-the Giants of the Savannah. It was more of an up close experience with the animals but it will probably not live up to the experience that we had in SA. Right C?!! The giraffes were done eating by the time we made it up there so maybe we will get to feed them next time!

Here are a few shots from the zoo-This chick was on the go most of the time, hence the flying ponytail and side shots!

Before heading to the zoo we painted our itty bitty elephant-I loved how Camdyn kept calling it a "bank" -sure does look like one with the slit in the back!

Love us some sweet giraffes!

and for sure the elephants!

We got to pet our goat friends and one kept biting her dress-lots of giggles from that

Love owls

Cam always has to make a trip around the carousal and it was only fitting that my zebra girl ride on the zebra-Daddy's idea :)

Big news! Today around noon, my sister delivered the first Collard baby boy, named Tanner Chase! He is perfect and they are doing great. Camdyn and I headed immediately after school up to the hospital and Camdyn fell in love. I also brought my camera to take many pictures of him to share BUT when I took it out to take one of him in the nursery, my sim card was not in there! ugh! Anyhoo, I will be taking some of them on Sunday for sure. We love you Tanner!

Up next, Camdyn's first day at pre-school and until then, here is a picture of her and her proud turtle shell!

and why not throw in an adorable picture of her falling asleep and taking a super long nap outside!

S-c-h-o-o-l Days

Phew! We have had such a busy last 2 weeks and some GREAT new adjustments! I started back to school and Camdyn started a new sitter. Camdyn will also be attending at MDO pre-school program 2 days a week that we are super excited about! Her sitter, Mrs. Tracy teaches a pre-school class so she will be taking Cammy to her own little class. This curriculum and the great things they do at both Mrs. Tracy's and and her pre-school program has WOWed me! Is that a word?!
I will express my main concern :) about putting her in pre-school....SLEEPING ON A MAT! Well, that worry went away about a month ago when Tracy started trying her special mat that she got at this time and after one day, she loved laying on her mat and she has been doing great ever since! It's amazing what other people can get your child to do! ha!

This past week we had "Meet the Teacher" - We made her teachers a little gift to show them how much we are going to appreciate them!
And here is sweet girl before Meeting Mrs. Alise and Mrs. Rikki!
I on the other hand have had a great start to my year as well! I have a great group of kids this year and I am loving their precious personalities. My day flies by and then I get to scoop up my baby and play with her the rest of the day. God is good!!

Here are some pictures of Camdyn throughout the week-

Found her doing this the other day before she got on the potty (I think she has watched me too many times when we are out in public-except she did the back not the front)

Camdyn, here is one of your great "report cards" at Mrs. Tracy's!

Daddy surprised Camdyn with this super cute doll and puppy-she preferred the puppy the most :)

Chef Camdyn prepared Bozley a delicious meal the other night...Bozley looks super excited!

Yay for a new show other than Sesame Street and Barney! Backyardigans!!

Yesterday she requested to let Bozley wear a bow and then she said "Take a picture?"

We have had this little one wanting to try a lot of things on her own and we got this the other day :)

Today it feels heavenly outside and we are about to go and feed the ducks and then to Nanna and Pawpaw's house for a Labor Day celebration! Hooray for a 3 day weekend!
