Thankful

As much as Thanksgiving is the perfect time to give thanks...I truly feel that I am thankful every day of the year for what I have been blessed with. I am very content with my life and what we have and I give thanks to god and for guiding us in each decision that we have made.
I thought I would take a look at my pictures on my phone to show the honesty of our life and how much each snapshot shows meaning and adds character to the life we are living. They are not the most "picture perfect" but they sure are perfect to me. Not many days go by that I'm not snapping a picture of our little family to hold onto the memories that are being made.
*i am thankful for my sisters and that they are my best friends. We can trust one another and we always protect each other. Don't you mess with one of our own! Ha!

*i am thankful that I get to print a simple little mask off of the computer and help make this creative little soul come to life!

*i am thankful for the man of my dreams and that we have spent more than half of our life together and that I can still take silly pictures of myself! I must show him that I'm showing my support in his high school shirt! :) he liked it :)

*im thankful that I got to surprise Camdyn by taking her to the movies and I was able to experience her reaction. (Side note: she fell asleep on the way there and when she opened her eyes she was just a looking around trying to figure out where we were ---still half asleep I told her and her mouth flew open ---biggest Camdyn grin ever, a squeal and she said "you got to be kidding me!")..eat this child up!

*and we have my gorgeous Maddy, my little wild Indian who loves to get dirty and is the sweetest baby girl. She has such a quirky little personality and I thank god for her. She walks around all day long saying "momma?" "Momma?" ----oh it is just wonderful! She also adores shoes. Shoes are strung all over the house ---big and small, that she has tried on. Yesterday she took a shoe ornament off the tree and pried her little tootsies into that one shoe.

*i am thankful that god gave each of them to each other to comfort, love and share the joys of sisterhood.

*i am thankful that god made me a momma. This right here shows me that I am doing a good job. :) I rock Maddyn to bed and wear a robe because I feel like my arms are bony and uncomfortable (don't laugh) and I just want her to feel cozy and warm. After 15 months of never forgetting to do this..she now will sometimes go into my bathroom and rub her precious face against my robe and make a little crying noise to tell me she's sleepy. Yes, told you..she is heaven sent! :)

*i am thankful that we have a warm loving place to call our home. I am thankful that Camdyn feels comfortable to play in her pretty little room for hours just laying in her bed atop her sheets playing with her dolls.

*i am thankful for this not so well distributed tree of ornaments. This only means that my sweet 4 year old has her own little tree that she loves to look at in her room and take the ornaments off to rearrange them. :)

*all that right there is proof that we have a lot to be thankful for around here! I am also very thankful for my parents, the grandparents and my in-laws. They continue to bless our family with love and laughter. None of this post involved possessions or "wants" but purely memories that are made in this little place I get to call LiFE! Life is grand!

Farewell to October and hello November

Oh my goodness these months and weeks fly by! I'm not sure
where they go but do they go fast or what!
We are already weeks into November and
I still feel like I'm stuck in October.
I have all of these cute pictures on my phone of snapshots
of our little life. Too many that I don't want to get overlooked!

Again, we have Halloween. Just. Like. Strawberry Shortcake!
And my sweet Maddy May

Halloween is so much fun at school when you are a teacher!
There are numerous activities/lessons that can incorporate this
fun holiday that the kids LOVE celebrating!
I got my tiny witches hat, my bowl and large spoon, and served
up a bowl of "spooky soup" full of candy for graphing in math.
This is my job! Can't get much better than that. I love coming to school
and being able to determine what my day is going to consist of!
Have I told you how wonderful my class is this year?! That helps a ton too! :)
I could seriously leave the class all day and I bet you they could run that
class alone and be just fine without me!
*Poor Mrs. Toth's face is always swollen in the morning.
Ignore the chubby face!
One important part of a marriage I think is going on dates!
Our preacher has talked about this many many times.
It refreshes your relationship and we love being
able to relax and talk about our sweet babies and what we want to do when
we retire...no lie...we always catch ourselves talking about
traveling the world in our little R.V. :) This particular date we headed
out to Allen, ate at Brio and did a ton of early Christmas shopping.

Our morning drive is not in the dark anymore! I can now
see these sweet faces in my rear view mirror. We currently
are listening to Christmas music on our morning drives!
This is not my lunch nor is it Dustin's lunch---this is indeed my
15 month daughter's lunch! She is so much fun to feed!
That girl eats almost every single thing that we eat and she
even says "mmmm" while she's eating. This makes this
momma cookin' girl, HAPPY!

Another morning drive!

We went to a cute little country wedding for Dustin's cousin
and the girls had a blast. .
Cam's school pictures turned out so cute!

Now that it's cold outside, nothing is better than
getting these 2 out of the bathtub and wrapping them up in
a warm towel fresh out of the dryer!

Someone caught a yucky cold and didn't feel like eating
much but when I made her a smoothie filled with
strawberries, blueberries and bananas--- she gobbled it right up!
Dance parties happen quiet often at our house.

Today this pretty little girl got all dressed up for her Thanksgiving feast
at her school. She was so excited that I was coming.

She stood so patiently waiting on the song to start and smiled
at her "audience" the whole time :)

This little boy to her right was a HAM! He is so cute
and has such a fun personality. I bet those 2 have fun together!

They have their special blessing that they say together before
they eat their lunch. The teachers have them cross their feet (so that
they keep their feet to themselves while they're eating) and their
little hands are clasped together.

Our break has begun! As much as we are going to
relax we also have a lot planned.
Dentist appointments, Disney on Ice, Dustin's birthday dinner, Thanksgiving
with the family
and a date with my husband and the Randy Roger's Band!

Halloween!

A few days prior to Halloween,Camdyn and I made these adorable "Frankie" cups of pudding!
Grab you a container of vanilla pudding, mix in some green food coloring,
crush up Oreos and pour on top AND voila! You have some
cute pudding to enjoy!

On Halloween we had the entire family over so I whipped up some
caramel apples and tried this new S'mores dip that
I found on Pinterest. Tasted just like a s'more but without all of the mess!

My sweet Kitty also known as "Custard"--Strawberry Shortcake's cat. Camdyn
insisted on carrying Maddyn on a leash but we went with
a wagon instead. :)

Not fond of all of the fur but she gave in in about 2 minutes
after I put her in it.

My little Strawberry Shortcake! The little round face
helped her pull it off and of course the red wig! Boy was she proud
of that wig.

Sweet sweet cousins!

Daddy did this most of the time while I snapped pictures. What's new?! :)

A few times she would get out and walk to the door
and she couldn't get over the fact that she got "treats"
from random strangers at the door!

After I gave her this sucker she sucked on that darn little sucker
the rest of the walk and never moved!

Well YES, we will watch a movie!

Here's our favorite circle that we go through each year. Each house
is decorated and this is the place to be! We were a bit envious of
this awesome hayride taking place as we "walked" passed. :)

This sweet couple lures us in to their table packed with full sized
candy bars every year! As Camdyn would say "yeah buddy!"

We had such a great Halloween and only one more day
and our relaxing break begins!

PiNk FALL day!

We had our first official PiNk day of the school year! I started these special
days years ago AND they will always be my most favorite
days of the year. :) I'm telling ya...I look forward
to these days throughout the year! It refreshes me, gets me
eager for the next day and I get to spend the day
with my girls and just my girls. Being a teacher is such an awesome
job and I feel that I enjoy it so much because I take
time for myself and cherish the time with my family
and friends. With any job, it's always important to give 100% of
yourself while you are there but then 100% to your family
when you get home.  That will always be "my standard" that I
stand by!

So let's talk about how this day started!
Well you HAVE to start out a PiNk day with some sleeping in late!
I told my little girl that has an internal alarm clock that she
needed to let her mommy and big sister sleep late and boy
did she listen or what! She slept until 8:15 and that is PLENTY enough
rest for this momma! I had warm cinnamon rolls ready for the girls when
we woke up and a cup of coffee beside me.
We then played all morning, watched some Peppa and so forth and
played outside in the backyard while I stayed in my green robe. :)
I'm proud that the girls will be able to look back on the blog
and know EXACTLY what the "green robe" was! ha!

It was a few days short from Halloween so I made Cam a game called
"Don't Eat Frank" and it seemed a little too simple
so I changed the rules up for her and it became more
of some riddle playing. She is a smart cookie so I keep her
on her toes! ha!
As she flew through the answers for which one was really Frank,
she enjoyed eating some Skittles to reveal "Frank."
And you can't leave the little piggy out! She munched on some
chocolate cheerios while we played. :)
I then got the girls all dressed for the day after our lunch
and we went out to check the mail. Much to our surprise
we got "Boo-ed!"
This made Camdyn the happiest little girl around.
She couldn't believe that this basket of goodies was left
all for her and her sister! We loved how it was specifically
planned out for them. The two sippy cups, the "double" of a lot items.
---so sweet!

We headed out to a super close pumpkin patch by
our house that we just discovered this year! Why did I not
know about this, I don't know---literally 3 minutes from our house!
It's a family owned farm and I love that about it.

For $7.00, you get a cup of food to feed the animals, a pumpkin to
leave with and a 15 minute hayride...can't beat that!
The girls (including Maddyn) loved feeding the animals.
You can see Maddy start to get braver in the pictures.

Smirk! I got a smirk out of her in this picture! Once she sees
the big black camera, she turns that smile over to her
solemn look! We laugh about how she will hardly smile
for the camera but smiles all day long at home.

Maddy going in to pet the lamb!

My animal lover---she might just be a vet one day

"No momma, I am not going to sit here like my sister and smile
and look at the camera!" :) :)

Hayride time!

Sweet Maddyn was tucked between my arms sucking on her paci
and relaxing.
We had a perfect day and in 1 more week we are all
4 home together for a week thanks to the Thanksgiving break!
