Church carnival 2010

Well hello there! I would like to catch up on my "Halloweenish" pictures from the great festivities that we have been to, SO, I've got 20 minutes to get it done so that I am able to hop into bed and relax before our Tuesday begins. I'm slacking on the blog books, I tell you! However, I keep finding sites that you can quickly upload your book and edit however much of it you would like. That is sounding pretty good to me at this point in my life! :)

I will start with our church carnival. I had no idea that this was such a big deal as it is. We usually have our school carnival going on at this time but this year we chose to attend Lake Pointes. It was amazing to say the least! We had so much fun hanging out with the cousins and just enjoying the music and the fun going on around us.

The girls loved on each other :)

Played with the cousins (aren't they all adorable?!)

Danced to Christian music...

*Love how you can see a huge smile on Camdyn's face just from this angle.
This little girl ate a little too much cotton candy for this health freak momma over here!

AND they had a petting zoo where Camdyn got to pet this rainbow horsey and my favorite was the potbelly pig.
I had to throw this picture in here for you to see. I DO NOT want to forget this quirky thing that Camdyn does! When she gets excited (usually about some food she is about to get to eat or a special place/friend she is going to see), she puts her hands under her armpits like a chicken. EVERY single time she gets excited about something and sometimes when she has something serious to tell you. :)
BOTH hands go under her armpits. It is hilarious! So...if she ever does this to you- feel special because she is happy to see you or excited about what you are telling her! ha!
What a great time we had this night!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On Saturday, Camdyn Reece and I ran up to a bakery that a lot of people have been raving about in a nearby town.
They have some great cupcakes but my favorite is called Pink Champagne. It is wonderful! Camdyn got one called Wedding Cake and I got Pumpkin Spice. Yum! The owner also threw in some mini cupcakes for C to try and this was her reaction when I gave her a mini Pink Champagne.
Really? Can you get any sweeter than this smile (and the yummy cupcake as well!)
Camdyn and I like to make a lot of bargains around this house. :) Seriously, we make deals and bargains all the time. After we went to Target and got completely drenched after doing a little shopping (hence the wet curls on her head) we made a "deal" that if she would take a nap like a good girl, then she would get to eat half of a cupcake when she woke up! What do you know, she hurried to her bed, went to sleep and woke up and ate her cupcake.
I now leave you with pictures I took of her a few weeks ago in her SCARY shirt! Loved how these turned out and I really had no intentions on taking any at all. I just can't resist with her though.

Super busy week this week but I love it! We had the homecoming parade tonight (so much fun!), Camdyn's party on Wednesday (the Halloween costume will be making it's debut!), Annual baby party at our house on Thursday, homecoming game on Friday-phew wee...maybe I take back the part about loving this week after I just listed all of that. :)
Have a good night!

Camdyn's bedroom!

Hello! I decided to do a quick "linky" to Kelly's & Harper's blog because I actually posted these pictures in 2008! When we found out we were having a sweet baby girl (new readers, she is 2 1/2 now!-time flies!) I wanted to create a room that would not have to change much when she got older. My style around the house rarely changes and that's the way that I would like it to stay, ha! So, I decided to incorporate a lot of light, hot pinks mixed with black. I felt that when she got older we could make this work when it was time for a bit of change. I also wanted a "French/Paris" look to it. This is how it turned out!

We had this fabulous painter paint this mural on the main wall in Camdyn's room. We loved how she incorporated our family dog, Bozley (who Camdyn adores) in the painting.

Here is her sweet crib. Her bed converts all the way into a full size bed and right now we have it as a toddler bed. I was able to make her bedding for the toddler bed and still use some of the bumper pad. I love how it resembles her crib bedding.

(Not the best picture since it was taken with my phone but this is what her bed looks like now!)

I was drawn to these satin sheets for her when she was a baby!

One of the shelves Dustin's dad and Grandad made for Camdyn.

Here is the infamous chair that I will rock her in until we both no longer fit!

That's our Camdyn Reece's room and it still pretty much resembles this except for some more toys and a few more messes then when a little newborn was sleeping in it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Let the Fall festivities begin!!

One of my best friends, Heather, hosted a Halloween party this past weekend and we had such a great time! It was Camdyn's first time to meet sweet Parker and Presley and she was very impressed! They are absolutely the cutest twins ever and I love every time that I get to visit with them and Heather...if only they lived a bit closer. :(

Cam kept smiling at their monster costumes...

Check this doll face out on the right! This is my friend Monica's daughter--we were in the same sorority in college. She is precious!!

At one point Camdyn started asking when the "big kids" were going to arrive-ha! I think she started realizing that she was a little bit older than the babes there! However, I'm sure next year they will all be running around and playing together.

This makes me smile...patiently waiting for them to get up and walk with her! :)
Then Camdyn got to meet some new friends and make a beautiful bat! She was very proud of it.

Here is proof that baby girl had a fabulous time!

**Note: This was taken about 2 minutes after she got in the car.

So the big talk in my classroom between kids :) is what their parents make them and all of the good sweets that they bring in for snacks! Well the talk has involved PUMPKIN and CHOCOLATE-what a pair right?! So I googled these two ingredients and wanted them in the form of muffins and I found a great recipe. AND what really sold me on this recipe was that I already had all of the ingredients (I love to keep a can of pumpkin on hand at all times in the Fall just in case) I gathered my little assistant who is with me at all times and we got to cookin'.

and her favorite part when baking muffins with mommy is putting the muffin cups in the pan.

done!

We like to make sure there is something in this pretty glass container every week :) -Right Dustin?!

While I'm on the subject of food-I made Mexican food tonight for dinner (My favorite) and I was so excited when I found these guys growing strong in the backyard!
So what else should I do with these than put some cream cheese, garlic salt and cheese and pop them in the oven. We like to call them "pepper boats". Please try this at home!

What a great weekend we had! We had a family date night on Saturday and I took a few pictures of Camdyn with her puppy who got a make-over. This child gets super excited when Bozley gets a haircut!
And she also showed off her new pose-nice hugh!
I now end with a picture of her from school--because every post must have a picture from school in it. :) We have many events coming up this week and the next that we can't wait for. I hope to share some more pictures soon!

PiNk DaY! October 2010

Camdyn and I had our first "PiNk DaY" of the school year last Monday! Camdyn now knows exactly what these days are and it is so cute to hear her request one of these. We pretty much do and go as we please and whatever comes to mind that day for us to do...then we do it! ;) We first started out by sleeping in, then we relaxed at home during the morning. We got dressed and headed out to do a little bit of final shopping for our Fall decorations. This girl loves to shop! I then told her that we would pick up Chick-Fil-A and we headed to the harbor to eat our lunch.

Here was our lunch view-nice and cheap hugh?!

After lunch we went over to check out the ducks and took a walk out on the piers. It was such a perfect day to be outside.

After a lot of exploring outside, we went to the chocolate factory and Camdyn and I picked out a dessert. YUM! Cammy usually eats a few bites and then is done but she ate the entire sprinkled chocolate pretzel stick that she picked out!

We also stopped to take a picture with some pretty flowers BUT the sun was much too bright for our pretty green eyes :)
After our day out, Camdyn came home and took a super long nap and I finished our front yard.
And these are by far my most favorite part of our Fall decor! It was fun whipping two of these bad boys up!
What a great PiNk DaY it was and we cannot wait to have another one soon!!
